Currents, our 2-sided member newsletter delivered 7 times per year in membership mailings, provides brief snapshots of key people (promotions, new hires), things (company moves, awards, etc.), and job opportunities in every issue. We offer exclusive advertising in Currents, with just one advertiser allowed per issue.

Send us your stories! Members (company and individual) may submit items of interest to Kirsten King. Submissions will be published on a first-come, first-served basis and may be edited at NEWWA’s discretion. Publishing priority always lies with member organizations, sponsors, and individuals. Deadlines to submit editorial content are:

  • January 8, 2026 for publishing in January
  • February 10, 2026 for publishing in March
  • May 5, 2026 for publishing in June
  • June 16, 2026 for publishing in July
  • September 8, 2026 for publishing in October
  • October 15, 2026 for publishing in November
  • November 16, 2026 for publishing in December
