About the Established Professionals Network

The Established Professionals Network (EPN) serves as a bridge for experienced members of the New England Water Works Association (NEWWA) transitioning into the next phase of their lives and careers. Here is a structured overview of what the EPN focuses on.

Association Engagement & Leadership Support

  • Maintain Connection: Keeps retired and transitioning members actively involved in NEWWA.
  • Institutional Knowledge: Serves as a resource of historical industry expertise.
  • Committee Assistance: Offers hands-on help to other NEWWA committees upon request.
  • Advisory Pool: Offers guidance when requested by the broader association.

Peer Support & Retirement Planning

  • Transition Guidance: Helps members successfully shift from full-time work to retirement. Uses collective wisdom to prepare the next generation of retirees.
  • Resource Forum: Shares information on logistics like Social Security and Medicare.
  • Purpose Finding: Helps individuals discover meaningful activities and passions for their next chapter.
  • Experience Exchange: Creates a space to share personal stories of active retirement life.
