Workshop Description:
Your utility faces day-to-day challenges providing reliable, safe drinking water for your customers while avoiding costly violations. The American Water Works Association (AWWA), in conjunction with the Rural Community Assistance Partnership (RCAP), and the New England Water Works Association (NEWWA) is offering two FREE 1/2-day online workshops to help your utility learn about compliance with drinking water regulations and steps to avoid costly violations. This workshop is made possible by funding through the U.S. EPA and AWWA’s partner, RCAP.
 
Continuing Education Credits – Pending approval by the Massachusetts Board of Certification. AWWA is the entity providing the TCHs for this event. Individual registration is required through NEWWA. 
 
Audience: Operators, managers, or governing body of a small system.

Course Presenters:
Matt Cassedy, Water Compliance Specialist, RCAP Solutions, Inc.
RCAP Solutions instructor and technical assistance provider based in Terryville, CT.  Mr. Cassedy has been in the drinking water field since 2001, with licenses in Treatment, Distribution, Backflow Testing, Cross Connection Surveyor and Level 2 Assessments.  He has served the industry in implementing programs and process to meet EPA and State regulatory requirements.  Among the many aspects in serving communities and water systems, Cassedy has provided services and assistance in operations and maintenance, operator and board training, asset management, safety, compliance, emergency response, vulnerability assessment, treatment design and water quality, controls, project funding, income surveys, and rate analysis.
 
Derik Dressler, Regional Collaboration Specialist, RCAP Solutions, Inc. 
Mr. Dressler joined RCAP Solutions in June of 2019 as a Regional Collaboration Specialist in Pennsylvania. He brings 14 years of experience in environmental work and water operations as the former Environmental Operations Manager for the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. In this role, he interpreted and enforced the Safe Drinking Water Act, managed the regional operations for the Northcentral office and coordinated with the Central office on regional initiatives to gather input and support. As a licensed drinking water operator, he enjoys assisting small systems to overcome the many challenges they may face.  
 
Intouch Loomcharoen, Water Compliance Specialist, RCAP Solutions, Inc.
Intouch Loomcharoen joined RCAP Solutions in February of 2019 after serving as a water treatment operator for Trenton Water Work and Atlantic City MUA for 2 years. He is a New Jersey licensed operator, holding a water treatment II license. He graduated from New Jersey Institution of Technology with a Chemical Engineering degree in 2016. He worked in a sterile lab for Stokes Pharmacy, was a math tutor of Kumon and a snowboard instructor in the winter.
