2013 Annual Conference Highlights

The Roaring 20's Meet and Greet reception was enhanced with Harris Hot Toddy's!

Our bike riders sported their new (and VERY fancy) NEWWA shirts.

For the second time, the MWRA took home the "Best of the Best" taste test trophy. They represented NEWWA at AWWA ACE14 this past June and WON NATIONALLY!  Congratulations!

The tank building contest remained a very popular annual event. Pictured are team "DP" - three of our past presidents - (l-r David Paris, Michael Covellone, and Tony Zuena).

Manchester Village, VT, was a beautiful setting for last year's annual conference.

We are looking forward to a stellar year with our 2013-2014 Board of Directors, led by President David Polcari. Here's to another great year!

About the Mt. Washington Resort

A grand masterpiece of Spanish Renaissance architecture, Omni Mount Washington Resort in New Hampshire's White Mountains was a 2-year labor of love for 250 master craftsmen. Conceived by industrialist Joseph Stickney, this National Historic Landmark opened in 1902 and has been attracting generations of families ever since.

The final phase of an $80 million expansion and renovation initiative continues with the replacement of the hotel's iconic signature red roofs. Previous renovations to the guest rooms, public areas and dining facilities complement the additions of a signature spa, thrilling year-round canopy tour and renovation to the classic Donald Ross-designed Mount Washington golf course.

About NEWWA's Annual Conference

380 water works professionals attended NEWWA's 2014 Annual Conference for educational and networking opportunities. The 2015 program will include technical session tracks over 2 days on topics including water treatment, management, sustainability, water resources, water quality, distribution, and groundwater. TCH credit will be available to all attendees.

Plenty of networking opportunities are also available--from multiple receptions, to roundtable discussions, to the membership recognition celebration. The annual Water For People silent auction is also returning, as well as the ever-popular "Aging Infrastructure" contest and "New England's Best" Drinking Water Taste Test.  A variety of guest and social programs are also on tap for the week, including Wednesday's golf tournament..
