2014 Annual Conference Highlights

Samoset Resort, Rockport, Maine

September 21-24, 2014 - 381 attendees

Meet your 2014-2015 Board of Directors, with President Carol Harris leading the way.

Disc golf was a fun new addition to our Sunday afternoon check-in activities.

Our "Hillbilly" themed Meet and Greet Reception was a huge hit with a lot of members embracing the fun!

Outgoing President David Polcari addressed the crowd at Opening General Session and encouraged everyone to: "Stay Thirsty, My Friends."

Tom Morgan was this year's recipient of the George Warren Fuller Award for his unwavering dedication to the association and water works profession. Here, past Fuller awardees congratulate Tom on this great honor.

The "Best of the Best" Drinking Water Taste Test is becoming more competitive with each passing year. Thank you to our three judges, and congratulations to the Champlain Water District of South Burlington, Vermont, for the win! They are now eligible to compete at ACE15 in Anaheim, CA, representing NEWWA.

NEWWA's Program Committee makes all the technical sessions at our events happen. The association extends its sincerest thanks to this group, who work tirelessly from planning through execution to ensure top-notch programs are available to members at all our events.

About the Mt. Washington Resort

A grand masterpiece of Spanish Renaissance architecture, Omni Mount Washington Resort in New Hampshire's White Mountains was a 2-year labor of love for 250 master craftsmen. Conceived by industrialist Joseph Stickney, this National Historic Landmark opened in 1902 and has been attracting generations of families ever since.

The final phase of an $80 million expansion and renovation initiative continues with the replacement of the hotel's iconic signature red roofs. Previous renovations to the guest rooms, public areas and dining facilities complement the additions of a signature spa, thrilling year-round canopy tour and renovation to the classic Donald Ross-designed Mount Washington golf course.
