Reservations
Reservations must be made directly with the hotel (877) 225-7267 or www.thebalsams.com.
The room rate for conference attendees is $214+ per person (single) or $164+ per person for double room (i.e., if 2 people share a room, they each pay $164) accommodations, plus tax. Government employees receive a $30 discount on either of these prices.
Room rates include three complete meals each day.
Mention NEWWA when you make the reservation.
The cut-off date for these rates is August 20th.
About the Balsams
Located high in New Hampshire’s White Mountains and deep in the Great North Woods, The Balsams Grand Resort is rich with New
Hampshire history. In 1960 Dixville Notch became the “First in the Nation” to report its results of the Presidential election. The Ballot
Room at The Balsams is where the town’s first-in-the-nation voters cast their ballots at midnight on election day. This historic room
is filled with photographs and displays of the dignitaries and candidates who have visited the Balsams since 1960.

The Dining Room
Acclaimed chefs use only the freshest ingredients, oftentimes from local farmers. The menu changes nightly, and is presented table
d’ hôte style. The wine cellar features over 4,000 bottles from 310 different labels, and has been recognized by Wine Spectator.
The Tavern
A comfortable environment allows guests an alternative to the formal Dining Room. Thick burgers and cold beer can be found on
the menu, along with many of The BALSAMS specialties.
The Panorama Grille
Set high in the mountains above the hotel, The Grille offers panoramic views of New Hampshire’s White Mountains, and Vermont.
