No matter what your role is in water supply, the New England Water Works Association can assist and support you in responding to the changing and complex requirements of today's water supply profession. Membership can be in the form of an individual, student, retiree, or in the name of a company or utility. Through a variety of services, activities and programs, NEWWA, in affiliation with the American Water Works Association (AWWA), offers you the opportunity for joint membership. By becoming an AWWA/NEWWA member you can:

  • Improve your professional skills through training, education, and certification
  • Have access to professional publications such as AWWA's Journal, Opflow, and Mainstream and NEWWA's Journal and newsletters The Source, Currents, and E-Source
  • Expand your knowledge about new water supply technologies and trends
  • Become involved in the exchange of information, ideas, and experiences with your peers
  • Receive updates on legislative and regulatory matters affecting public drinking water
  • Attend trainings, conferences, symposia, and monthly meetings at discounted rates

By joining AWWA with NEWWA as your designated section, you will receive information about the world-wide drinking water profession, as well as local updates, member-only publications, employment services, member-only discounts on every purchase you make, as well as benefits such as networking and investing in your future. In addition, AWWA membership gives us all a greater voice in Washington on drinking water issues!

For potential members wanting a NEWWA-only membership, that option is also available. Joining NEWWA will grant you access to NEWWA's Journal and newsletters, as well as provide you with discounts on NEWWA trainings and meetings/conferences. You will not receive any publications or benefits from the American Water Works Association. If you'd like to join NEWWA, you can register online or register by mail.
